My name is Leslie Seibert. I am a cosmetologist and I own my own salon. I have been married to Nate for almost 10 years. I have three boys, Lane Thomas, Jake Robert, and Harrison Bennett. I have always loved watching my boys play football competing on fishing teams and recently our new adventure is archery.
As a 14 year-old at VBS I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. My walk hasn’t always been perfect or easy, but I serve a forgiving God and I am beyond blessed with where I am today and so thankful to God for everything.
Grace Covenant came at a time when i needed it at the most. The unity, the transparency and the realness is something I needed. Shew what can I say… Grace! Thank you, Jesus.
I have been involved in children’s ministry for several years. I was blessed to be involved in the ministry years ago when the older boys were little. Then about 10 years ago I had the opportunity to lead the children’s ministry program at our previous church. My why? Watching children have fun and want to be at Church all while growing in their faith. Watching a child give their heart to the Lord and grow in their relationship with God is something you will never get over. The joy. I’m thankful to God for blessing my life with this position and allowing me to teach and love each child exactly where they are. My prayer for each child our ministry comes in contact with is that the seeds we plant make a positive impact on their lives forever.
Children’s ministry is a steppingstone to the youth program and adult programs. What better way to get the young generation involved in church and excited to be there. I feel children’s ministry classes should have the same excitement as vacation Bible school. I remember as a child being so excited to go to vacation Bible school, why can’t every Wednesday night class be just as exciting? That is my goal. We are not only teaching God‘s word, but we are having fun while learning.
Anyone that feels led to get involved in the children’s ministry program, I ask you first to pray about it. Seek God and ask him to show you exactly where you need to be involved. After that, contact me and we can discuss where you would like to get involved with our program. We are so excited to continue to grow and share God’s word with every child that walks through our doors.
My name is Josiah Dennis. I am a girl dad of 3 and have been married to my wife, Molly, for almost 6 years now. I was born and raised in Grayson County.
I was raised in an old Southern Baptist church and went every day the doors were open. I was saved my freshman year of high school and saw how He changed my life for the better.
I met Pastor Nate in 2019 and instantly saw his love for the Lord and his boldness in following Him. When the church was formed, I instantly felt led by the Lord to go and attend. Ever since the first service, I have felt a freedom of the spirit and reassurance from God that this is where my family and I are supposed to be.
The Youth Pastor role I took on is a big one. The kids in the middle school and high school are easily influenced by things at school. I want to give them a Godly and positive influence, teach them who they are in God and the purpose they have for Him, and grow closer to Him. I hope the youth feel a sense of belonging in church and the friendships they make growing up and learning with one another.
If someone was thinking about getting involved, the first thing I would say is that you should pray and seek God about whether it's what you are supposed to do or not. It’s a big responsibility to teach and influence these kids.
